Hi Wes,
Fernando, from Moscavide / Lisboa - Portugal
I tested a 16 bit Parasound DAC and I was impressed, but after reading the features and specifications of the D100, I am interested in trying it.
Best regards
Fernando

I would love to take part in the loaner if it's not too late. I am in London. I have finally settled on a DAC after trying quite few "Hi-Fi" ones but I always been curious about your design. Cheers.

I actually don't know if this is the right thread (Wes feel free to move my post)...anyway, which USB to SPDIF converter are you guys using with the D100? I'm currently using a M2Tech Young DAC that comes with async USB, and I'm wondering if a M2Tech Hiface would be OK.

I have a Pop Pulse PC Link II which I use on occasion, but not regularly since I connect my computers via optical. But the M2Tech hiFace will work just fine and is one that I recommend for high-definition audio.
Asynchronous USB isn't strictly necessary with the D100 Mk2 since the primary purpose of an asynchronous implementation is to avoid the computer driving the DAC's internal clocks. But since the D100 Mk2 buffers and reclocks the incoming S/PDIF signal, the USB->S/PDIF conversion happening off the computer's clock is OK and won't influence the D100 Mk2's internal clocks.

Thanks for your reply Wes.
The more I read about this DAC the more I'm looking forward to listen to it

Just waiting to hear from Torpedo if he has gotten the loaner DAC.
